Skeet Reese Statement on Joining Stratos® Boats Pro Staff
Former Classic Champion will Pilot new Stratos® Champion® Elite® Series Bass Boat
Auburn, Calif. With the announcement yesterday of the new Stratos® Champion Elite® Series Bass Boats, 2009 Bassmaster Classic Champion Skeet Reese is pleased to announce that he will be staying on with the brand as a pro staff.
Reese, who is one of only 12 anglers to have claimed both the Bassmaster Classic trophy and the Bassmaster Angler of the Year title, has been with Champion® for the majority of his professional fishing career. He joined the company in 1996, meaning he has been a part of the development and marketing plans for the company for nearly 14 years.
I have always had a lot of faith in the product that the engineers at Champion put out, and to have Stratos® make a commitment to adopt the key models means I will get to continue competing in the boat that has been a major part of my professional success, said Reese. The amount of confidence I have in my Champion® Elite® Series 210 helps me know I can go wherever I need to in a tournament and get back; regardless of the conditions.
The announcement of Reese joining the Stratos® team is one that also brings the 40-year-old pro a lot of joy. I can't tell you how pleased I am to have this opportunity to be a part of this new partnership, said the six-time BASS winner. To have Stratos® recognize me as someone they trust to help spread the word about their new product is an honor; one that an angler could only hope for, it means the world to me.
Sharing in the pride of the announcement is Bart Schad, Stratos® Boats' Vice President of Marketing. Skeet is truly an impressive angler and we're honored that he's chosen the new Stratos® Champion® Elite® Series as his platform for competition, Schad exclaimed. His enthusiasm and commitment to excel are ideal complements to the high performance nature of these models.
Along with the familiarity with the hull construction, Reese will continue to run the Mercury 250 Pro XS Tournament Edition Optimax on the stern, and his MotorGuide Tour Digital 109 trolling motor on the bow. His new Stratos® Champion® Elite® Series 210 will also be fully outfitted with Lowrance HDS Units and their revolutionary Structure Scan technology.
I'm looking forward to competing in my new Stratos® Champion® Elite® Series 210 for the foreseeable future, and excited to be a part of Stratos' promotion plans, exclaimed Reese. It will be exciting to see how far we can go together, it's a great product with tremendous potential; I'm proud to be a part of it.
