AUBURN, Calif. (November 8, 2012)  – Earlier this week, Elite Series pro Skeet Reese and his wife Kim, announced that they were beginning an auction right here on the website, to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Sandy that devastated much of the Northeastern parts of the country.

While the auction for his personal tackle bag and a signed, tournament worn jersey have begun and bidding has been steady, Reese today got word from his sponsors and some of his Elite Series colleagues that they wanted to participate as well.  The result is that new items have been added to the auction page that will give fans a chance to win valuable items used by Reese and some of his competitors on the Bassmaster Elite Series.  The additional items are as follows:

10 Wright & McGill Co. Skeet Reese signature “A-Rig” rods that will be auctioned off one each of the next 10 days.

A custom black and orange Berkley Havoc tackle bag donated by Michael Phillips at Berkley Havoc.  This custom tackle system comes complete with six tackle trays, padded shoulder strap and a sunglass case.

10 bags of Tightlines UV soft plastic baits and a signed T-Shirt from 2012 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Brent Chapman.

10 Bags of Gary Yamamoto Senkos and a signed King’s Home T-Shirt from Bassmaster Elite Series pro Randy Howell.

10 bags of Roboworms and a signed T-Shirt from six-time Bassmaster Champion and 2004 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Aaron Martens.

An iRod used by Oklahoma Elite Series pro Fred Roumbanis in winning the PAA Series event on Neely Henry in Alabama.  This rid is signed and dated by Roumbanis himself.

Reese said that he was humbled by the desire of his colleagues to help.  “This just goes to show the caliber of people that make up the ranks of touring professionals,” he said.  “These are some of the best anglers in the world, and not only are they brilliant anglers, but they are tremendous people as well; Kim and I are humbled by their contributions.”

As stated before, all of the proceeds of the auction will be donated to the American Red Cross or another worthy storm related charity, and that the Reese’s would be matching all donations made up to a total of $5,000.  The auctions will run through November 16.
